My thoughts
Growing up with Pat was a great experience. All the time that we spent together over the years told me something of Pat, and that is that he was something special. He fought back and was a proud kid. You couldn't keep him down because he got back up, and was better than before, which was proven by a season ending injury last year. Pat was forced to sit out wrestling last year, was able to play baseball this past summer, and came back better than ever this year. For all the hard work, and determination, Pat, a.k.a. Mighty Mouse, earns my MVP award, my Offensive Player of the Year award and was one of, count them, FOUR players who won my Co-Defensive Player of the Year award.
Josh is one of those guys you just have to like. Nicknamed Airhead in United football, Josh sure showed that he was no airhead! This year, for Josh's dedication and physical play and domination on defense, Josh racks up a chunk of my Co-Defensive Player of the Year award. Josh dedicated this season to many things I'm sure, but one of those things, his best friend, Keith Shea, who died last winter. For this, Josh earns my True Sportsmanship award.
Through Zach's great hard work and determination he has allowed the Falcons offense to score more points than the last two years...combined! On defense he came through as well, forcing teams to punt in times of desperation. For this, Zach earns a portion of my Co-Defensive Player of the Year award.
Joe is just one of those guys that people like. He gets along with anybody. Joe was a super force this season on offense. While teams prepared to stop the running tandom of Melger-Kimmler, Mulder waited patiently to burn his opponents down the field. Joe torched teams in the playoff run this year, aiding the Falcons to their glory. On defense, Joe was great too, playing his heart out to stop offenses in their tracks. This season Joe proved himself in one more way...solid. Big-Play Joe earns my Play Maker award, which means that this guy can make plays out of situations that most could make nothing out of.
Last year I only saw two games, one of them featured Adam Miller picking off three interceptions against Kiel, and another against Slinger. Slinger won state after that, and now, Miller earns a chunk of my Co-Defensive Player of the Year award. Miller proved to be better than last year by making the QB's think twice before throwing to him, and opposing coaches knew this as well.
This is the best defensive team that I have seen in years. Of all the teams that we played this year, only one team really broke through our defense and held us down, and that was Waunakee. The defense was riddled against Campbellsport in the first meeting, but we proved that we were the better team in the playoffs, and my grade for the defense A+.
Unbelievable! How did they get through so many times! 496 points scoring just shows that we are a great scoring team! Jordan Saak and Joe Mulder connected on many td passes, while the trio of Kimmler-Melger-Mulder went hog-wild running the ball. Although Mulder didn't run much until late in the year, he was just as much of a threat as Melger and Kimmler. Between the three, there were 52 TD's rushing...and Mulder only had three of them! The Offense was unstopable this year, and my pick for top offensive squad in the state. The offense gets a grade, equal to the defense, A+.
The Sheboygan Falls Falcons Football team was best division three team in the state. No matter who wins state, pair us up, and we can beat them. This team is awesome and no one can deny that. The Falcons proved themselves to be great this year!
No doubt about it, Dan Juedes is a master at coaching the rushing game. Even know we read how he doesn't know how to use the passing game that much, it seems to me like he does. Coaches Baranek, Binversie, Pribek, and the rest proved to be great at what they preach in practice this year, but I doubt they did a whole lot of that, because to big this good, you got to understand what the coaches are saying the first time, and I'm sure thay did. Coaches grade, as if you didn't guess by now, is another A+.
